Welcome to my very first sewing room!
Yes, you heard that right—after decades of turning my dining area into a creative chaos of fabrics, threads, paints, and scrapbooking supplies, I finally have a dedicated space to let my imagination run wild. Since 1990, sewing has been my passion, and my children—now all grown up—still tease me about never having a proper place to eat because our dining table was always adorned with my latest projects. This special room was once my son's bedroom. About a year and a half ago, he moved out to start his own adventure, and I saw an opportunity to craft a space just for me. Initially, I gave it a simple coat of off-white paint and hurriedly moved all my sewing equipment and supplies inside. Without a real plan, it quickly turned into a cluttered haven of creativity—but not the organized kind!
Fast forward to December 2023, a pivotal moment when I welcomed a new member to my sewing family: the Juki Industrial Sewing Machine (DDL-8700). Its arrival sparked the motivation I needed to transform the messy room into a cozy, functional, and inspiring environment. I rolled up my sleeves and began organizing, arranging, and fine-tuning every detail so I could easily find my supplies and immerse myself in a relaxing creative process.
